I will get to know you and your personalities, in depth. I ask a lot of questions! I want to understand why this commitment is important to you to ensure you are going to receive the ceremony you have dreamed of from me.

Unique Unique Unique! There is no right or wrong way to do this. The only way is 'Your' way.

Naming Ceremonies or Baby Blessing

W.C Fields said 'never work with children or animals', well clearly he never officiated a naming ceremony!

This ceremony is the perfect way to introduce the latest member of your family to all your loved ones. A time to make your life long promises to your child.

These are some of my most memorable ceremonies. Getting to know all the special people in the children's lives is such a privilege and together we can create something unforgettable. Small and intimate in your garden or every neighbour from the village on the beach. I can make sure each and every one of you has a special role on the day.

Funeral Ceremonies

For so long, families were only offered the option of a religious service in a church or the polar opposite, an atheists service.

As an experienced celebrant I can offer a personally written script. Honourable and sympathetic, representing the deceased and their grieving family.

A time to celebrate life, to share tales and mourn the passing of your loved one in a way most appropriate to you.

What is a Celebrant

There is confusion around the role of a celebrant, and how my role differs to that of a registrar.

A Celebrant is a person who performs and officiates formal ceremonies. Although we are commonly seen in weddings, I can, and do, also conduct other ceremonies like vow renewals, baby naming, and funerals.

Registrars, however, are allowed by law to officiate a wedding via civil ceremony, meaning that the ceremony is purely secular, with no religious tones whatsoever. The registrar is then in charge of processing and approving the couple’s marriage license, with the wedding ceremony acting as a formality after the legalities are taken cared of.

I will assist and guide you in completing the necessary requirements for the marriage license, although I do not have the authority to approve it. As a celebrant I can offer you more guidance in planning, and officiate a far more bespoke ceremony. Unique, your way!
